Interesting newer stuff complimenting the interesting older stuff. Getting to see the formative works, family pictures and correspondence allowed for a better appreciation of his life's work. Having heard Garry discuss his photography and answer questions from confused audience members the aspect that seems to be missing is his humor and wonderful way with words.Robert Holmgrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01692106097414753527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991511073052731290.post-68876808747334027872013-04-16T12:29:12.905-04:002013-04-16T12:29:12.905-04:00Tamara, His close friend, Photographer Tod Papageo...Tamara, His close friend, Photographer Tod Papageorge, curated Winogrand's 1977 exhibition "Public Relations" at the Museum of Modern Art in NY. The show had a huge contact sheet as the opening image. I believe some of the undeveloped rolls where also contacted and exhibited. Am I imagining this or has anyone else remember this show? Most incredible and very influencing to a young photographer.Tamara Reynoldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00645416143183055509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991511073052731290.post-72497540923225446712013-04-15T17:02:04.510-04:002013-04-15T17:02:04.510-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991511073052731290.post-25274591063540595702013-04-15T12:10:06.913-04:002013-04-15T12:10:06.913-04:00I saw the exhibit at the SF MOMA last week. It was a treat to see his proof sheets with his red editing marks. In general I prefer his early work in the 60's, 70's over his more recent work.<br />about a minute ago · LikeJohn F Martinhttp://www.johnmartinfineart.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991511073052731290.post-47098924799902600142013-04-15T10:46:54.419-04:002013-04-15T10:46:54.419-04:00Fantastic!!
