  1. Elizabeth- thank you for your blog. These are phenomenal-the light in the first one is? The subjects look set onto the settings- I get the feeling of timelessness and history. I blabber on with your posts- trying to figure it out- I wish there was a blogger chat line- ye gads!
    I am going to check out more of his photographs Is there a definitive book of his photos. G.

  5. It will be interesting to follow your blog of photographers. My favorite from the past is Walker Evans and I have discovered some of the current ones like Jeff Wall and his staged photography. I will look forward to finding more photographers here.

  6. As a designer, I always was inspired by the textiles of Africa. How I would love a tunic and small pouch they carry. They look as if they are on a mission - Steve has captured their united force.

  13. Answer regarding the image in Jodhpur: "It is fairly new...sadly it has not been printed in any of Steve's books. I will certainly suggest it to Steve for his next book though. I agree it is an amazing image."
