Four Sessions online via Zoom: May 15-16, May 22-23, 2021
This
workshop will cover the basic principles of designing your own
photography book. Drawing on over thirty years of experience, Elizabeth
Avedon will demonstrate the bones of creating a successful photography
book including editing, sequencing, typography and interior and cover
design. We will explore what comprises good design from bad, developing a
framework for the participant to build upon with their own book
project, and briefly discuss the self-publishing companies available.
The
last class session will be devoted to a 20-minute, individualized,
one-on-one meeting with each student. This course is strictly limited to
10 participants. Open to all levels.
