This workshop will cover the basic principles of designing your own photography book. Drawing on over thirty years of experience, Elizabeth Avedon will demonstrate the bones of creating a successful photography book including editing, sequencing, typography and interior and cover design. We will explore what comprises good design from bad, developing a framework for the participant to build upon with their own book project, and briefly discuss the self-publishing companies available. The last session will be devoted to individualized, one-on-one with each student.
