Participation in the auction is free, however all would need to register in advance on the auction site in order to bid. The auction items are on View Now on the InValuable website in advance of the live auction. The live auction takes place on November 15, 2020 at 3 PM. Prints will be affordable and the proceeds will help support the Griffin and enhance their programming.

Over 70 prints spanning a wide spectrum of photographic genres will be available. Original photographs will be available from established photographic luminaries such as John Paul Caponigro, Barbara Crane, Elsa Dorfman, Jim Dow, Harold Feinstein, John Goodman, Cig Harvey, David Hilliard, Lou Jones, David Levinthal, Rania Matar, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Olivia Parker, Vaughn Sills, Joyce Tenneson, George Tice, Bradford Washburn, William Wegman, Ernest Withers and so many more. Also available is a coveted and highly collectable complete set of “baseball” trading cards by Mike Mandel. A number of these cards are in major museum collections. We are also pleased to introduce you to works from the next generation of creative artists, Keiko Hiromi, Jennifer McClure, Aline Smithson and Sal Taylor Kydd among others.

SAY: Stuttering Association for the Young

"Our mission is to empower young people who stutter and inspire the world to treat them with compassion and respect so they can achieve their dreams. Our vision is a world where every voice matters."

Phillip Garber, a former student of mine, is a SAY alum and a sophomore in the BFA Photography program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. An aspiring photo-journalist, his focus is social documentary work. He attributes much of his confidence and success to SAY, which broadened his horizons and him gave him the power of his voice. "No matter how hard a situation may be, you always have an ally in your community."

Up for auction is Phillip's silver gelatin "wet print," Times Square in the Rain, with a starting bid of $250.00. Auction runs to June 12, 2014. Start bidding!

The Tibet Fund Benefit Photography and Art Auction

The Tibet Fund celebrates 30 Years of Service to the Tibetan People on April 28 with a Gala Dinner and Art & Photography Auction. This year’s event honors actor Richard Gere for his dedication to protecting Tibet’s cultural identity, as well as philanthropists Shelley and Donald Rubin (Rubin Museum of Art) for their devotion to the preservation, study, and enjoyment of Himalayan art.

Chef Eric Ripert has invited Stephane Becht, April Bloomfield, David Chang, Tom Colicchio, Scott Conant, Dan Kluger, Mark Ladner, Anita Lo, Laurent Manrique and Joseph Realmuto to lend their culinary talents to the cause and make 30 Years of Service an extraordinary and unique occasion. The chefs will each cook for a table of 20 guests in the Pierre’s Grand Ballroom, which is being graciously donated by The Pierre Hotel.

Concierge Bid: The Auction will continue as a live event at the Pierre. If someone wants to bid on-line, although they're not at the live event, they can place a "concierge bid" up to a certain amount and the Tibet Fund staff will keep their bid in play at the live event until their limit is reached. If they remain the highest bidder at the live event, they get the photo or artwork.

Life Support Japan is an effort by photographers and galleries around the world to raise money to support those affected by the earthquake and tsunamis that struck Japan on March 11th, 2011. Money raised from these joint efforts will be donated to Direct Relief International and Habitat for Humanity Japan.
